The objects I have chosen mean more to me than just some pairs of shoes. The high heels in the pictures were shoes I had worn to homecoming. Although they caused me a great deal of pain, they protected my feet from getting anymore bruises from guys jumping on them at the dance. The basketball shoes were the shoes I wore in my first high school basketball games. The high heels and basketball shoes were both all completely black, making beautiful black and white images that I enjoy. The last object was my track spikes, the spikes I wore in my first high school race and the spikes I became an all-region hurdler in. I took these photos with a white background to bring the shoes to life. With editing and focus I was able to show the imperfections in my shoes, whether it was sparkles and grass on the bottom of my heels, the scuff mark on my basketball shoes from falling in games or holes in my track spikes from me spiking myself while pole vaulting. I struggled taking pictures with the white background because I set them on my window bench which didn't have that much room so I had to keep the camera close to keep all white in the background.
